Selfie Upgrade

This is my identity chart. Some of the main ideas I incorporated into my web are dance, faith, and my friends and family. These are all huge parts of who I am, and I used my identity map to explore and expand on these ideas.

This selfie was taken outside in my backyard. Through this photo, my identity of loving the outdoors is displayed. Also, I am wearing my favorite shirt that says "abide". I am also wearing my cross necklace, which is another favorite of mine. These two items help show my faith which is a large part of who I am. I am very involved at my church, Aldersgate United Methodist Church (AUMC). I am very involved in the youth group, and I also enjoy going to different retreats and events. In this photo, I incorporated a few different choices from the PowerPoint, including the rule of thirds and finding shade.

I used a different approach while taking this selfie by taking a photo of my feet. I am a dancer, so my feet are an important part of who I am. This selfie shows my pointe shoes. Ballet is one of many styles of dance I do at my studio, and although it can be painful, I enjoy it. I dance at DanceVibe, and I this will be my eighth year dancing there. Aside from ballet and pointe, I take classes in modern, contemporary, lyrical, hip-hop, tap, jazz, and I also compete in 5 group routines. In addition to the group routines, I will also be competing a solo for the first time this year. I incorporated my personality in this photo by showing my love for dance. Also, I used three elements from the PowerPoint, including "ditch the usual" (taking a picture of my feet instead of my face), the rule of thirds, and telling a story. 

This is a picture of me and two of my friends, Baileigh and Julianne. We took this picture at a Salt n Light event we went to together. Salt n Light is a youth ministry group based in Camp Hill, and my friends and I love to go to their events to grow in our faith together. Although this picture is slightly blurry, it shows our tightly knit friendship because we couldn't stop laughing at each other. We all love to be with each other and spend time together, and we also love to make each other laugh! My personality is also shown through the shirt I am wearing. In this picture, I am wearing my new youth group t-shirt which shows my love for my youth group and my faith. With this photo, I really focused on making it personal and creating a story with taking it with some of my closest friends.
